Quo ibimus ? (Where will we be heading?) 

The VAS presented for use in municipalities represent only directions from which inspiration may be drawn. There may in fact be many such services, and much depends on social demand and on where society (including municipalities) sees the potential to move into qualitatively new areas.

However, society must be prepared for this, or perhaps even better, it must actively seek such solutions. In other words, the demand must be linked to an understanding of their added value.

The vast majority of VAS belong to the family of “nice-to-have” services rather than the “must-have” category. This is why their usefulness can be difficult to explain. Perhaps the only exceptions are services such as DVNS, where acquisition costs and immediate implementation can be highly persuasive

This applies until we answer not only the traditional question “Where are we walking?”, but rather “Where are we / do we want to walk?”

From the perspective of BCOs and their tasks, the view is somewhat simpler and more targeted: to participate in awareness-raising also in the field of VAS built on strong communication infrastructure, which is the implementation consequence of building VHCN communication network services.

It is worth considering preparing — or rather co-creating — a tool that could help municipalities design, understand and assess the need for such services.All these services can certainly also be implemented as models applicable at the municipal level — perhaps even as digital twins.

For Digital Virtual Educatioal Trails this will be relatively simple; for e-Health it will be demanding and complex.U DVNS to bude jednoduché, u e-Health náročné a složité.

VAS services are, as already mentioned, services of the nice-to-have kind.

If we were to contribute in some way to the design of a digital model, then for example the implementation of GIA and its support in the municipality is a must.
